Total Property care is a Property Maintenance company that does Gardening, Lawns, General Handyman and specialised trades such as Plumbing and Electrical for residential and commercial clients on the Mornington Peninsula.

Why did they Come to us?

Toby came to us because he wanted to grow his business and get off the tools. He felt that they did not have the experience or the business knowledge to take the business to the next level.

What were the Challenges for the Business?

The main challenges for Tobie's business were typical of most small businesses. Obtaining new clients and finding staff that would help him grow his business. Implementing the policies and procedures that staff would use was also a challenge along with the cash flow challenges that occur in any rapid growth companies

How did we help?

We started by putting systems and processes into the business that gave the owner more control of the business and gave staff a structure and format to follow. We also gave the owner the confidence to back his natural instincts on the business to make decisions and continue to move the business forward even when he felt like retreating. We got involved with the staff selection and recruitment, budgeting and financial modelling, pricing, and marketing strategies and with the training of the staff to ensure the appropriate culture was created and nurtured.

The Results

In just over 2 years the business has more than tripled its sales and the profit has almost doubled. Toby is off the tools and the business is almost at the stage that it can run under management.

Classy Cleaners is a domestic cleaning company based on the Mornington Peninsula that specialises in upmarket residential cleaning.

Why did they Come to us?

Lisa came to us because she wanted to start a new business in a completely new market after having worked in a different industry for close to 30 years. Lisa had a passion for cleaning but she needed support in setting up the business and putting in the systems and structures to create a scaleable business.

What were the Challenges for the Business?

The main challenges for Lisa’s business were typical of most start ups. Balancing the cash flow of the business during a growth phase, while doing the cleaning and at the same time trying to get the administrative duties completed all while trying to manage staff recruitment and training.

How did we help?

From day 1 Lisa attended all of our programs from the masterminds to the workshops and 1 to 1 coaching sessions every fortnight. We put Budgets and financial modelling in place for the business so Lisa knew what to expect at each stage of the business growth. We also put in clear staff and marketing strategies to maximise the returns that Lisa received from the business.

The Results

The business hit the budget that we had set both for profit and revenue in the first year and will double the result again in the 2nd year. With 5 staff and 2 full time vans now on the road, the business is one of the Peninsula’s most respected and well known cleaning companies.

Rad bookkeeping is one of the Peninsula’s most well known and successful bookkeeping companies. With 9 staff and covering BAS, Payroll and general Bookkeeping services Rad bookkeeping are an essential part of many small and medium-sized businesses on the Mornington Peninsula.

Why did they Come to us?

Debbie first came to us to help free herself of the day to day requirements of the business. Deb had built a great business with a great reputation but the business was built on her knowledge, expertise, and personality which meant that Debbie was a victim of her own success and could not remove herself from the business.

What were the Challenges for the Business?

The key challenge was continuing to grow the business while at the same time removing the day to day reliance on Debbie in the business. Systems and structures were needed to be put in place to empower and allow the staff to take responsibility for their roles, while not sacrificing the quality of the services provided by Rad Bookkeeping.

How did we help?

We worked with Deb to build a team that had the skills and attitude to provide the level of service that Deb was happy with. We put systems and structures in place where clients and staff had other levels of support before Deb needed to get involved. We freed Deb up to spend more time working on the business and developing pricing and technology improvements to improve the business.

The Results

Rad Bookkeeping has increased revenue and profitability since working with EBS but most importantly Deb has been released from many of the daily rigours of the business. Deb recently was able to have a 15 day European holiday with her 93 year old grandfather which would not have been possible prior to our involvement.
